can I play a movie with 2 subtitles at once?

Hello I am interested if this is possible one sub at the top of the screen the other at the bottom.If serves me to learn foreign languages.For that I have one .srt in my native language the other .srt in some other language.
But alas I cannot figure it out.
Do you guys know cna help me?

It's not possible to display two subtitles at the same time, but there's a script (for linux) which merges two srt subtitles into one ass subtitle file, that then are displayed one at the top and the other at the bottom of the screen:

Is exactly that script I am fighting with now , I am in a conversation with its author as to why it doesn't work as meant on my machine ubuntu 13.10 x64. Here is the discusson if anyone else will be interested:
Maybe he will figure it out and so my quest for this will end happily.
