ERROR "MPlayer has crashed...."
Posted: Thu Nov 28, 2013 4:06 pm
Hi All,
First of all, I'll like to introduce myself to the forum.
I have been using SMPlayer for a few years now, I have always believed that is the best media player available and offers options that many others don't as well as been highly functional. Over a year ago I did upgrade my laptop and desktop to the latest version available at the time, this started to create issues....
When I start SMPlyer I get "MPlayer has crashed. See the log for more info", I did find a solution for the issue a while ago and used this solution on my laptop at the time. It was something to do with SMPlayer not calling MPlayer from the right location or something along those lines if I remember correctly.
The problem is that I did not fix it on my desktop and I do not remember how to do it or cannot find the solution again
As a result I've had to uninstall SMPlayer from my machine. Today is a sad day because I did not want to uninstall SMPlayer but had no alternatives.
When I finished uninstalling I did see a message pointing to the direction of the forum and thought to myself "maybe someone out there will be willing to offer a helping hand" and this is the reason I have joined this forum and entered this lengthy post (apologies for that).
I run a machine with Windows7, sufficient RAM (8GB).
If anyone is able to help I'll be very grateful
