SMPlayer Support Forum

Hi, I'm new to SMPlayer.

I am using the newest SMPlayer version on Windows 8.1. I read on the HQ page that they provide codec binaries for plenty of codecs. Do I need to download that and add it to SMPlayer? If so, how do I go about doing it? Thanks in advance.

The windows installer offers to install some extra codecs, but for the most common formats they are not needed.
