My favourite video filter setting is sharpen (video>filters> brur /sharp) default is none.
how to set it to Always on (default with every video)?

There are some ways. One of them: add unsharp=lc:1.5 in preferences -> advanced -> options for mplayer.

Notice that this method passes directly the filter to mplayer, and smplayer won't actually know that the filter is on, so the option in the menu won't be checked.

thanks . seems to work .
now playing with the value 2 and 3 as sharpening level (lc:2 and lc:3)
