smplayer 64 bit not working properly from past few days

i am using smplayer 64 bit and from last 4 monts it is not working properly.

when i play a movie, suddenly the video slows down and audio goes on on normal speed and when

i press left arrow key number of times then for some time it works but again the same problem.


i am using the smplayer on windows 8 64 bit professional os.

i am using the smplayer on my desttop ( dell, intel 3.4 ghz processor, 16 gb ram, 1 tb hard disk, hd graphic card)

and on my laptop ( dell, intell 3.1 ghz processor, 8 gb ddr3 ram, 1 tb hard disk, hd graphic card)


i use smplayer 64 bit fro a long time like one can say from last 3 years. upto now nothing happened.

hi once again i tried to check whether the problem of smplayer not working is for all movie formats like .flv/.mov/.mp4 etc.

then i found that the problem is comming when .mp4 files are running.


please tell me the solution if anyone has any.

You probably need to set/increase the cache for 'local files' in the settings
