Got malware message on smsmplayer-0.8.6 install file

I downloaded it from Source Forge. Malwarebytes also flagged earlier smplayer install files. It said it was(PUP.Optional.OpenCandy). Any info on what is causing this?

Some of the installers use and some antivirus can display a warning because of that.
You can get a version of the installer without opencandy here:
Although I suggest to use the development version, since it has many bugfixes and improvements:

The smplayer-0.8.6.6026-win32 package doesn't use opencandy.
