How do I download a YouTube video that is NOT on SMTube list ?

Found several Mozilla browser addons .. for starters ...

• Video DownloadHelper 4.9.22
• SaveFromNetHelper

I'm with bawldiggle's intent: how does one download and save a youtube video using SMPlayer? This is how I found SMPlayer just today; have been trying for several days to figure out how to do this in ANY way.

Tried the url thing with SMPlayer and it just sat there.

Options -> Youtube browser.

Search for the video in the Youtube browser, right click on it and select Record video.

In the development version (not released yet) there's the possibility to download a video passing the youtube url in the command line. Since this is difficult for a Windows user, I'll add soon an option in the interface.
