Is there any way to do any of the following
1) Log into youtube and see your subscriptions
2) search without quotes (the youtube searcher seems to put all searches in quotes)
3) Leave comments
4) View the underbar
5) Search by youtube user
6) View other videos by the same person
7) have smplayer as a plugin to replace flash?

Smplayer is MUCH faster than flash and uses MUCH less memory than flash. I played a YT video with only 1 tab open in firefox 29.01 and the utilization went to 70% and I watched the same video in a higher resolution and was only around 20% utilization and my VM usage was far smaller. My computer is memory starved, but it isn't my computer and I don't want to spend money on it upgrading the ram (it's only got 512MB -64 for the integrated video).

There is a YT alternative for G4/G5 macs called youview and it does most of the things I listed. If you can't do these things, what are the odds they will appear as features any time soon? I would love to be able to use smplayer as a stand-alone YouTube application.

Do you happen to know what is the oldest version of flash that YT supports? Every release gets slower on the same hardware and I accidentally had it set to auto-upgrade and YT is just getting slower and slower. So if I go with an older version of flash, it would take up less memory and be faster. My bandwidth doesn't really support anything over 480p in real time, so being limited to 480 or even 360 isn't a problem for me.

The smplayer plugin doesn't appear to do anything. I really hope you guys will turn smplayer into a youtube application.

Also, do you know of any windows based stand alone youtube app? Works fine on IOS and Android, why not do it on windows?

I know minitube, but the Windows version is paid software.
