Use of Wildcards

Is there a way to call up a file using SMPlayer and use wildcards (*) in the file search: From the command line: smplayer.exe "C:\Video1*.*

The name of the file is C:\Video1_sample video.mp4

Well, in linux it does work.

I've just tested on windows and it doesn't
It seems windows doesn't expand the wildcards.
