Audio delay and seek

I have often found that when an audio delay is set, seek does not work properly, in that it will not seek the audio and video consistently obeying the delay. Is this a known issue? The delay+seek work fine in my backup player MPC-HC, and playing the video without seek also works perfectly (once the correct delay is set).

If it helps the audio delay for the last case I saw this happen was positive (that is, the video appears before the audio - SMPlayer's sign on the audio delay being opposite of what it should be).
