According to the log it seems the subtitle is not an external srt file, I guess it's embedded in the mkv file. I've just embedded a srt file in a mkv to test and mpv loads the subtitle ok.

The weird thing in your log is that mpv says the the subtitle is not selected. Maybe it's in a format not supported by mpv

It's very strange, it's just something that happens on SMPlayer's mpv haha

I've just downloaded the video. In linux the subtitles do show.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit
I guess I'll try a reinstall later.

I've just tested on windows (32 bit). It works too.

A reinstall seems to have fixed it xD
Weird, I wonder what was causing it.

I upgraded to latest version. 64 bit Windows. And subtitles worked before, ALL subtitles (all .srt, but that is what I was either finding with vids or downloading) for every video I've ever watched (considerable number). I'm testing with known movies that I know subtitles are there. I've checked all options, etc, resized screen, no customize, customize (tried in middle so not hiding below bottom). I am stumped. So, in short, subs that worked in prev version do not work now. I did a reset on install, I think it was and I uninstalled before installing new version.

Thank you for your help. Love the new version, hope I can keep it, but also love subtitles, esp some movies where sound mix is bad or need to turn off audio.
