After loading a Video (name.mkv), I selected Video->Thumb nail Generator. After about 15 Seconds I get a error: (see attachment).

SMPlayer Version 14.9.0 (svn r6616) (64 Bit)
Using Qt 4.8.6 (compiled with Qt 4.8.6_
Using MPlayer SVN r37328

I have and use4 Teamviewer if anyone wants to take a look. Just send me an e-amail

The problem is under investigation but I think it has to do again with fontconfig creating the font cache.

Could you try this?
* Go to preferences -> subtitles and check the option "Enable Windows fonts".
* Now open a video. It will probably take some time to start to play because mplayer will be creating the font cache. Be patient and wait until the video start to play.
* Now use the thumbnail generator and see if it works this time.

I think this is fixed in svn 6645.
