Smplayer, mpv and vaapi

Hi, This is a feature request. I bought this up off handedly on another thread but I think perhaps I should start a new thread for it.

It is great that now Smplayer supports mpv, it opens up many interesting possibilities. Smplayer doesn't have an option to enable vaapi because neither mplayer nor mplayer2 use it. Butt mpv does support vaapi. Since on machines with intel gpus vaapi is the only option for hardware acceleration for many users I think it would be nice to add support for vaapi. There is a somewhat convoluted way tp use vdpau on intel gpus with a vdpau wrapper https://github.com/i-rinat/libvdpau-va-gl (works with mplayer/mplayer2/mpv and flash) but still native support for vaapi would be great.

I've just added (svn r6686) an option in preferences -> performance to select the hardware decoding.
