Many times I come across videos that have wrong aspect proportions (mostly YouTube vids). Simply by accident I discovered one of the many media players I use can dynamically adjust the ratio via certain keyboard keys. These keys will 'stretch' or 'shrink' the video size horizontally and vertically as well as increase or decrease the default size (I am not sure of the resolution increment but the transition is smooth when the key is held down so I would guess 1 pixel, if that is the correct term). I have not discovered this feature/functionality in other media players. Does SMPlayer have this functionality? If so, how?

No, but using the key "A" you can switch among the most common aspect ratios.
