Adding folder with sub folders to playlist

So i wanted to add a folder with sub folders containing media files but it seems that i can only add the media files in one folder and not the media files inside the sub folders.

Preferences -> Playlist -> Add files in directories recursively

Maybe "Add directory recursively" to the + menu ?

Sometimes you might only want to add one directory, and other times you want it recursively. But i would expect to be able to do this without having to go change a option in preferences.
