Compact mode (Ctrl+C) does not make the window smaller in Windows 7.
It just removes the controls, but the window is still the same size.

You can resize the window using the mouse when you put the mouse on the border of the window. Compact mode doesn't get rid of the border itself.

I would expect compact mode to make the window more compact.

Change the option "autoresize" in preferences -> interface to "whenever it's needed" and then the window will be resized when you switch to compact mode.

Thanks.
Maybe activate this option by default or would there be reason why not ?

I dont like having "whenever it's needed" on because it changes the window whenever i load a video of different size.
Sometimes i like to have the window the same size and same place on the screen. Like in the corner while im doing other stuff.
