I'm afraid not. I only found an old post in Google about this.

Anyway try to run mpv in verbose mode (-v), maybe that can give more info about the problem.

Reported it to the devs. Apparently my ffmpeg drivers were bad, but i just used the ones packaged with opensuse, so don't know what's up with that. Anyways fixed it by redownloading every ffmpeg component from packman.
