Can you always update SMPlayer to the latest version in ppa? Main reason I use linux until now is because I can watch video easier with SMPlayer. And because my Mint Rosa as default cannot install libqt4-dev and similar. Thankyou for respons and this is just my opinion

Hi khotiburrahman,

I have been using SMPlayer on Linux Mint for several years now and have never had a problem updating from the ppa. If you haven't done so already you can add the ppa by starting "Software Sources" and then in the PPA tab choose "add" and then enter: ppa:rvm/smplayer. It will then ask you to refresh the cache and you are good to go.

Creating the packages for the PPA is very time consuming so I only do it when there's an important bug fix.
