How can I watch TV on SMPlayer?

Hi there,

There is an option in the drop-down menu: TV. How can I watch it? I don't know what to write there. If anybody can provide working example I will be pleased. There are a lot of channels on Internet with the online streaming, but no one URL works in SMPlayer. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Please, advice.

The TV and radio menus are intended for Linux, where mplayer has support for TV devices.

I even removed those menus once in the Windows version to avoid confusion but it seems there are people who use them to store online URLs, so I added them back.

Could you give a sample of URL that doesn't play in SMPlayer?

For example this one: http://matchtv.ru/

It's an open chennal and you can see it live via browser, but on old machines it works slowly. SMPlayer works fast, but I don't know how to watch streams like that on it.

If you use SMPlayer with mpv and youtube-dl you can play videos from a lot of streaming sites, you can see here a list of all sites supported by youtube-dl:

However it seems that matchtv.ru is not supported.
