SM player reconfigured itself???

Hi, I'm running Windows 10. I was starting to play a video file with SMPlayer and playback started skipping/juddering. I then found I could not play any file without that juddering happening, it was like a CD with a scratch on it. I rebooted my PC and when I started the player, the whole skin had changed. I also found that my configuration had changed. Keyboard shortcuts that I had customised had reverted to default. I cannot make changes to contrast/brightness AT ALL. My configuration file is still there with my customised settings, but they are having no effect. I uninstalled and reinstalled SM player but the configuration problem persists. Media will now play but will judder a few times an hour. Has this happened to anyone before? Many thanks

I recommend to back up the keyboard shortcuts (there's an option in preferences -> keyboard to save the shortcuts to a file) in case you changed it, to avoid to lose them if problems like this happens.

I don't know what happened (I never experienced that problem) maybe there was a problem reading or writing the settings or they got corrupted somehow.

For the contrast, brightness... try to enable the software video equalizer in preferences -> general -> video.

Thanks for that tip and reply, I hadn't noticed that the key configuration could be saved. Cheers
