I know how to move one frame ahead but is there a keyboard shortcut that allows me to move one frame backwards. Thanks

The defaul key is ",".
If it doesn't work change the "multimedia engine" to mpv in preferences -> general.

IfAppreciate the reply. "," only moves one frame forward even though I have that function assigned to another key. So now I have two keys doing the same thing. I tried switching to mpv in settings but that gives me only a black screen on videos. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Be sure the key "," is assigned to the action "frame_back_step" in preferences -> keyboard and mouse.
This option only works with mpv. If you have a black screen with it, go to preferences -> general -> video and select a different video output driver.
