Lag when jumping in local videos

I have AVI files that my camera creates that vary between 2 & 3G each. Sometimes I want to jump ahead with the drag bar during playback. When I do that, SMPlayer takes 15-20 seconds before it starts playing again. I love the program; especially the keyboard controls, but this one thing just irks me.

Win10 Pro: Latest Updates as of today
SMPlayer: 16.6
RAM: 16G RAM (recently updated
OS/program drive: SATA 7200 RPM w/ 64M Cache
Data Drive (AVI files): SATA 10000 RPM w/ 32M Cahce
CPU: 2.95 GHZ Intel Core i7 870

Go to preferences -> interface -> seeking. Be sure "precise seeking" is not turned on.

Ah-HA! Many thanks!! I turned that off, then changed the Bahavior of Time Slider and Is now what I want
