SMPlayer Support Forum

If i play some music in SMPlayer and do other stuff it can happen that there are short "holes" in the audio.
I suppose it is a to little buffering.
How can i increase the buffering?

I have switch to mpv and will try and look out for the same problem.

Try increasing the cache in preferences -> performance.

Does auto use different values for mplayer vs. mpv?

When using the auto option smplayer doesn't pass the -cache option to mplayer/mpv, so they use their default value, which probably it's different on each player.
