I have been unable to use my saved radio links for some time now. I think version 15.6 was the last version I used where is played/streamed successfully. Seems agfter the switch to QT5 maybe it started? Not really sure but if I roll back SM player to the 15.6 or close versions it streams fine any of the 16 and ups don't work at all. The odd thing is if I hit stop and play I can get this link to play: http://listen.radionomy.com/japan-station (but no others).

Please fix this in the next update this is a valuable feature to me.

Okay; sorry I am replying to myself with an answer. Hopefully this will help anyone else with the same problem who finds this frustrating.

After searching older posts I found an answer from way back when I had this pronblem in version 11. (Which I forgot about)

In Preferences...Advanced...turn on 'Pass the playlist option to mplayer (security risk)'
In the update this gets reset to off it sometimes it seems so failed to remember my preference of keeping this on, now it works perfectly.
Still weird though that one type of link without the exension would work but not .asx extension streams.
