I think a new release of Debian is comming soon so i would like for the software i translate to my up to date and that the newest translation is being used so that the next Debian release is using new stuff.

Can you make sure that the next Debian release will have the newest SMPlayer and SMTube with newest translations?

Maybe this is useful:
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/smplayer
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/smtube

I'm just trying to make help out so that the next Debian release does not come with some old version.

Debian's maintainer is independent of rvm, so you may want to email them directly: http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/c ... _changelog

Stretch's freeze is coming up soon, so it appears that smplayer 16.11 will be the version in it. But it appears nobody is maintaining SMTube: http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/c ... _changelog

Worst case scenario, I have my own little multimedia backports repo for Jessie that I keep up to date, and will add Stretch builds for it as soon as the OBS makes that available: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show ... evepassert
