SMPlayer Support Forum

Hi,

Just started using Smplayer, and would like to change the directory that opens when I click the directory icon. I looked in the forum but could not find how to do it. I'm using win7 pro and mplayer.

Hi,
In my version 17.1.0.8380 win7 64bit, it always opens in the c:/user directory. I saw in the config files thats where it is supposed to start. It will not save the last opened directory. I have different hard drives that have dvd folders in them, and I change hdd"s depending on the movie. So when I click on the directory icon I would like it to start at my computer or at least just c:/ drive. I did try to edit the config file,but it will not save, so either I'm doing something wrong or its not editable.

The setting to modify is latest_dir in the section [directories] in smplayer.ini

However, as I said before, SMPlayer will change the value to the directory of the latest opened file.
