I know that SMPlayer doesn't play all Blu Ray, only the unprotected ones.

Q: what is the reason for not playing -all- BD's and
will SMPlayer support playing -all- Blu Ray's in future?

Newer MPlayer and MPV versions have support for playing protected Blu-rays, they aren't included in SMPlayer yet. It would still require some setup and downloading additional files but it isn't difficult.

Oh, btw, I checked the MPlayer site, but I believe their latest version is February this year.
Anyway, it is good to know that most likely SMPlayer will support playing protected Blu Ray some time in future.
