hello, I have a .srt file in the same folder as the video file and with the same name and when I open the video it does not load the subtitles. What should I do to load the subtitles automatically when I open the file?

Be sure the option "auto load subtitles" in preferences -> subtitles is set to "same name as movie" or "all subtitles containing the movie name", and check the option "select the first available subtitle".

If this is happening only with that specific SRT try to open it with notepad and look at the beginning of the text on top if the first subs start with a number. 0 or 1 our case. if has anything else without number just delete that text and keep the first sub text that start with a number.
Example this is correct
===============
1
00:01:42,102 --> 00:01:45,354
Senators, consider the opportunities
for the Empire.
===============
The subs below is wrong because has no number above the first sub text . as a result will not load it the smplayer.
=========
00:00:42,102 --> 00:01:00,354
blablabla
1
00:01:42,102 --> 00:01:45,354
Senators, consider the opportunities
for the Empire.
