Aspect ratio vs Zoom?

Hi,
I have a monitor with 21:9 and in Settings I found shortcuts for
Zoom+ == inc_zoom == E
Zoom- == dec_zoom == w
Reset == reset_zoom == SHIFT+e
AutoZoom == auto_zoom == SHIFT+w
Zoom16:9 == zoom_169 == SHIFT+a
Zoom2,35:1 == zoom_235 == SHIFT+s
because I want to use a 21:9 size for videos.
The issue:
When I right click with the mouse on on Video->Aspect Ratio->2,35:1 then the video fits.
<https://latestsolution.com/change-aspect-ratio-in-smplayer/>
And this is needed every time for a new video...
But when I use the shortcut zoom_235 the video does not fit, it is too big.
Is there a difference between Settings->Video->Aspect Ratio->2.35:1 and zoom_235?
Can I set a shortcut to use the same function as with the mouse to get the aspect ratio of 2.35:1?
TIA and
best regards
