I'm on Smplayer 18.2.0 64 bit Windows 10. I installed the application today, and initially I had a seek bar (i.e. to slide to an arbitrary point in the video) but now it has disappeared. I've tried toggling full screen, compact mode, and always on top settings, and exiting and restarting the application, but none of these things make the seek bar/slider reappear. Is there a setting or keyboard shortcut I'm missing somewhere that would cause the seek bar to reappear so I can navigate within video files?

That's weird, I think only compact mode hides it.
You can try to delete smplayer.ini to reset the configuration.
