small adjestments on the source code level

hi guys
i am new here and i consider shipping smplayer by default with my distribution.
a few things jump into my eyes when I use it as a audio player
it is planned to use it as both, video and audio player
can you tell me which source code changes the default size of the name column, since its very small by default: https://pictshare.net/vwboxbfqxa.png
second thing is, that when a user opens up a full forder in his/her directory, including some .txt files eventually, triggers that an error popop and the playlist stops
and when I do the same with jpg, gets the entry in the tracklist simply skipped and the playlist continues to play. so can you treat every item like a jpg?
one option is to skip any unplayable data or can you simply remove such incoming files automatically?
second one has the benefit of short lists, which one is simpler to implement?
and one more question: how to get rid of that statusbar on source code level?
greets; matthias
