It seems that mplayer has been forked and a new project has been created called mplayer2;
RVM, is there any chance of getting a build of mplayer2 added to your pesonal ppa?

It seems it has some interesting features.

I hope when I install the new ubuntu in my PC, to build new packages for smplayer, mplayer and I'll try mplayer2 too.
