Help! Dealing with Auto-Updater

Greetings One and All

I was wondering how to shut off the automatic update feature in MPlayer. Every time I sign into my Windows account the update dialog box appears and it starts downloading files and loading font files (which I can't figure for the life of me why a video player is loading font files). If there isn't an update available it tells me there isn't one and closes. It's really quite irritating as I have to wait for update to finish before I can move on with my work. I appreciate any help.

I guess you're using an installer from another site. The official packages don't have an automatic updater.

I suggest to uninstall your current installation and download a package from http://smplayer.sf.net
