smplayer offline mode / proxy and network settings

Hi,

I cant find any network settings in the linux version. I want to use it over proxy and cant find any configuration settings.
Is it possible to stop the player from connecting to the internet?

smplayer only connects automatically to check for updates. You can turn it off in preferences -> updates.

your not correct.

smplayer connects automatically with youtube at least. and I cant find a way to block this automatic behavior.
which port/protocol is it using?

It connects to youtube if you enter a youtube url to play.

You can compile smplayer without youtube support. See src/smplayer.pro.
