D-BUS error

When I use smplayer in any other window manager than kde and try to open a directory I get the error:
Cannot talk to klauncher: Not connected to D-BUS server.

I have the D-BUS server running and so is HAL. What's the problem??

I don't know, smplayer doesn't use d-bus. It must be something from the kde. Go to the smplayer preferences -> interface, and if you're using a kde style, select another one.

No matter which style I try to use I still get the error: Can't talk to klauncher, blah blah d-bus...

Does the source have a place to choose or un-choose whether kde is used???

I don't use kde and don't really want it on my computer. I don't know why it would try to start klauncher when trying to select a Directory to play.
