Jumping from 0.8x to 14.x? Mighty big jump.
Even Mozilla doesn't jump that much.

SMP really jumped from version 0.8 to 14.3?? Not 1.43? Why the huge jump - 1.0 thru 13 were already taken?

The version is now the year (14) and month (3) of the release.
Similar to ubuntu version numbers.
