Export personal settings

It would be practical to export the personal settings and save them in a file for later import, like with bookmarks in firefox.

It should work with the config-file, but also after a complete new installation of linux?

I believe, all files you need are located in ~/.config/smplayer/ folder. If you have a separate home partition, your settings should survive Linux reinstall.
