Thumbnail Generator abilities

Hello,
I just found Thumbnail Generator function in smplayer and I like it. Is there any options or commandline switch which allow me make thumbnails from every mkv in specific folder?
Idea is, I have lot of mkvs in folders and their subfolders and I would like to make thumbnail for everyone of them without going to run few thousands mkvs and make thumbnails for them by hand.

There isn't that option yet, but some users asked for it, so maybe it will be added in the future.

I don't know. It will probably require to create an independent application, so it can take a while.

few additional suggestions:
- ability to setup automatic creating of thumbnails(save to the place where running move from) when start playing movie.
- more predefined TG templates(one for short tv series and one for long movies for example).
- actions for predefined TG template.
