Problem with pause on minimize

I am using smplayer from svn (a build from yesterday) and mplayer svn from yesterday too.
I set smplayer to pause on minimize but instead of pausing, the taskbar icon just flickers forever without pausing.
This only happened after updating mplayer to latest svn.
Perhaps they changed something?

Edit:I found the setting that breaks this. If I set "stay on top" to "while playing", it break pause on minimize. Setting it to "always" fixes the problem.

I've just compiled MPlayer SVN r37344.

I can't reproduce the problem. It works ok for me.

Ok, weird. It happens with mpv too. So must be some glitch with smplayer/kwin?

I'm using gnome classic. I'll try to test with kde.

I don't think the way mpv is used in smplayer has anything to do with this issue.

By the way I've just tested smplayer svn r6690 in kde (4.8.5), I can't reproduce the problem, the option pause on minimize works ok even with "stay on top" set to "while playing".
