Smtube stops working on Vevo

Hi, since yesterday (wed 14, 2015) Smtube has stopped working on vevo (the music videos, but the talk ones still work) I think Youtube might have changed something and smtube is due for an upgrade. I am using smtube 14.12.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 (installed via the rvm ppa) I tried to get the development source on sourceforge and compile it myself before bothering you, but under the development folder I could only find Windows exe files.

Yes, youtube changed things.

In smplayer select "Update Youtube code" in the Help menu.

If you use smtube only, download this file and copy to ~/.config/smtube/

This will make the VEVO videos to work again, except the videos protected by age.

Strange. I have two machines running Ubuntu 14.04 and same version of smtube. For one updating yt.js works, but for the other still gets 403 forbidden for these videos. Both worked before yesterday. I have removed ~/.config/smtube and added yt.js again but still doesn't work. I think it likely has something to do with my settings. But not sure what may be the culprit.

Opps. Figured it out. On the machine that doesn't work I have installed smplayer along with smtube, whereas on the one that works I have installed only smtube and am using mpv as the player. So for the one that was installed with smplayer I have to put the updated version of yt.js in ~/.config/smplayer instead of ~/.config/smtube/

Today (Sat 17/01/2015) vevo videos stopped working for me.
Youtube code is up to date (Version: 2015-01-15).

I've just updated the youtube code (2015-01-17).

However I suggest to upgrade smplayer to version 14.9.0.6672 which includes a better fix for youtube.

Vevo videos stopped working again today in latest stable 14.9.0, but are still working with svn r-6672.
