I was using smplayer with mplayer until recently on Ubuntu 14.04 32 bit.
Unfortunately, there is no obvious way to display the version.
The last update broke it, it now crashes with:
Error parsing option input-x11-keyboard (option not found)
Setting commandline option --input-x11-keyboard=no failed.
Exiting... (Fatal error)
I un-installed smplayer and mplayer, set the repository to http://ppa.launchpad.net/rvm/smplayer/ubuntu trusty main, and installed again with mpv instead of mplayer. Same result.

I also found the config files do not seem to be where I have expected them (.mpv and .config/mpv).
It seems, however, that mpv is running well if started without smplayer.
How to get smplayer running, again?
