Ooops Crash

Postby ironmanxp » Thu May 14, 2015 12:31 am

Installed the newest version of smplayer. When I try to launch a flv video I get the "oops" crash. Anyone got a clue what's going on here and how to fix it?

Thanks

The log doesn't show any crash. Everything seems normal. So I don't know.

Well, that was why I was asking here in the forum and my problem. I see nothing in the log. So something is going on with the program or it settings or a conflict with something else. I was hoping that someone has enough experience to provide a few places to look or things to try for a solution.

Thanks to the one who can solve my issue.

You can try the following: go to preferences -> advanced -> logs, and enable the "Verbose" option for mplayer/mpv. With this option the mplayer log should provide more info. Play the video again and send the log if it crashes.

I cant help but feeling like there is a version conflict or corruption going on. The player used to work fine, then after some windows updates (which sometimes mess up more than they fix) it now crashes. So I did some further poking around and thought I would first update my graphic card drivers. Bingo! After I updated my drivers and restarted my system, all is working as it should. Hope this might help someone else.

Good Day!
