What does "Change Installation Settings" do?

I run the Windows installer to update SMPlayer and it have an option called "Change Installation Settings".
I have no idea what that does.

The setup remembers what options you choose so you don't have to click through options every time you install a new build, but if you change your mind about anything that is what that's for.
