I think I can add an option to turn off this feature.

Anyway the centering is only done after an automatic resize, so a way to prevent it is disabling the autoresize in preferences -> interface.

Thank you for the fast reply.

Disabling the autoresize makes videos appear at the wrong size which, for my purposes, is very bad.
So a way to revert to the old behaviour would be very nice.

A related idea would be to replace the "Center window" and "Remember position and size" checkboxes with a choice:
# Position window:
* Remember last
* Centred
* Upper left
* Upper right
* Lower left
* Lower right

But I understand that something like that might be a lot of extra work.
