Version 15.11 uses a new method to set the screenshot directory but it requires a recent version of MPlayer (at least r36848) or mpv (at least 0.10).
I've just added a hack to keep compatibility with older versions of mplayer in smplayer r7290.

According to Smplayer "About" menu, I'm using Mplayer2 2.0-728-g2c378c7-4build1
Since I googled and found out that Mplayer2 is not developing (can't update), does it mean I have to install Mplayer 1.2 or Mpv 0.1x ?

You're right, mplayer2 is not developed any more, so there won't be any more improvements or bug fixes. So it's highly recommended to install mplayer or mpv.
