How to use video filters?

Postby setzuna » Tue Jun 21, 2016 6:17 am

I recently made a post that probably made me sound stupid. I didnt realize that you could use cmds to use more functions of mpv. But i can not get any of the video filters to work for mpv is their a proper way to type it or am i missing something? im using the official ppa version of smplayer. I have tryed about everyhting i could think of for typing them from the manual even flip will not work. can anyone give me examples of what they use so i can see the format.

You can pass filters to mpv in Preferences -> Advanced -> mplayer/mpv -> Video filters.

I have figured that much out but the syntax is what i do not understand. Ive tryed vdpaupp:deintmode=temporal, yadif=[field:yes] and --vdpaupp=hqscaling=9 all in different orders but i think im typing it wrong. i want to use vdpaupp options but i cannot get any of them to work can you give me a example that works?
