Does the folder name for screenshots contain an unusual character (accent, slash...)?

Have you checked if there's an empty space before of after the name?

I'm out of ideas. I think the only thing I can do is disabling in the code the check for a valid folder, so the screenshot option is always enabled.

Looking at the code I realized that the screenshot button is also disabled when using the vdpau output and the smplayer.ini option vdpau_disable_video_filters is set to true. I saw in your previous log that you're using vdpau, so try to set the option vdpau_disable_video_filters to false and check if it works now (or select another video output).
