customized crop possible

I don't know if this is possible. I have this video where there is a space at the top that's not needed. Is there a way to see this without it? Other than re rendering the long video. Thanks

mplayer has the cropdetect filter, which tries to detect the black borders and returns the parameters for the crop filter.

OK. Thanks for the reply. I'll check that out. This isn't the traditional black border. It's the result of a video made like a screen capture and it shows an unnecessary part around the video on that page.
