As you probably know(?), the majority of desktop linux users are using ubuntu.
That is, the default should support the majority. I would complain if alsa was dropped as a supported audio output but it's just not the default anymore.
P.S. You should learn some manners boy. Calling people idiots because they don't do what you want is, in itself, idiotic.
As I can see from your writings, you have no idea about programs development. Saying that "Their code and packages have no relevance to the vanilla upstream code at all." shows that:
a) you have no idea about their patches
b) you use really vague terms in order to prove your point.
