No sound in SMPlayer after mpv update

I just did a general software update and sound has stopped in SMPlayer only. I get sound in all other audio devices. I figured out that if I switch to mplayer as my multimedia engine, then sound returns, so it seems to be a problem with mpv. I definitely tried changing audio drivers in SMPlayer but none of them worked as long as mpv was chosen as the multimedia engine. Looking at the recent updates, sure enough, there was an update to mpv (2.24.0+git7~xenial1, 2.24.0+git10~xenial). However sound plays fine in the standalone mpv player. I'm not sure if this is something I should bring up here or with the mpv folks. Since it's only happening with SMPlayer I thought I'd start here.

Maybe it's because mpv removed the drc filter. If you were using the "volume normalization" filter in smplayer, turn it off.

Tried that, as well as switching on/off all the options in audio preferences, but none worked.

Greetings, I finally got the "activation email" after many, many tries...

I also had no sound and the fix was to switch multimedia engine from mpv to mplayer.

System: Windows 10 x64

Edit: working until player restart. SMPlayer doesn't save "--af-del=0" in options neither remembers the engine change. The issue presists in 17.4.2.

TL:DR Install appropriate version - 64 bit or 32 bit, depending on your system.

If you lost sound after update to 17.4.2 just install the version for your system architecture. Since 32 bit version is the "default" download mine got broken after update. SMPlayer did not remember engine options, sound options and I don't know what else. Uninstalled and everything got fixed after installing the 64 bit version.

I'm just recently having this problem with mpv player only. Not m player. Volume normalization and remember all settings for all files is off. I reinstalled the latest but no change. Thanks
